The Veolia North America (VNA) Tallahassee, Florida facility is located in the northwest corner of a 27-acre industrial park and is part of the Electronics Recycling Group. The building has 10,000 square feet processing and office space. The building is used to receive and process samples for recycling. There are separate rooms maintained under negative pressure for lamp disassembly and distillation.
Veolia has the ability to recycle fluorescent and High Intensity Discharge (HID) lamps using a sophisticated and proven technology with a 17-year operating history. Veolia has the ability to provide complete on-site distillation that eliminates both the need for hazardous waste storage and the shipment of hazardous waste from the facility. This facility is able to extract over 99% of the mercury from a lamp, and the recovered mercury is also over 99% pure.
