The history of US Foundry & Manufacturing Corporation recounts the life’s work of its founder and attests to his core value – “We will strive to build and maintain a strong company by supplying our customers with quality products and excellent service…” Providing quality products and excellent service to customers has kept this family-owned business growing since 1916.
Over the years, US Foundry has evolved from the small 7th Street Bicycle Repair and Welding Company, first opened in 1916, into one of America’s premier producer of municipal castings. Ownership commitment, along with exceptional employee involvement, has developed into an industry-leading company including three molding lines and six distribution centers. US Foundry takes pride in its commitment to its mission of delivering quality work and recognizes that continued success must be earned through the consistent improvement of its unparalleled products and exceptional service.

Advancing the Business Through Innovation
Our leaders, including Chairman of the Board Alex Debogory, Jr. and his son, our President and Executive Chairman of the Board, Alex Lane DeBogory, honor the legacy of founder Alex DeBogory, Sr. by actively promoting the advancement of the company. As a result of this philosophy of businesses development and growth, US Foundry’s Fabrication Division became an independent company, USF Fabrication, Inc. in 1996. The partnership between US Foundry and USF Fabrication increased each company’s industry standing and enables our customers to easily access our complete line of utility castings and metal fabricated products.
Celebrating 100 Years of Service
As we approach our 100th year, we would like to thank our loyal customers. Without their trust and support, this growth and success could not have been possible. A special recognition also goes out to the specifying engineers. US Foundry humbly recognizes and appreciates the engineering community and the many municipalities for having the confidence in our products to specify US Foundry.
US Foundry is honored to celebrate 100 years as a partner with all the great companies in our industry and we look forward to our future mutual success.

What happens if I need additional services?
Suppose you require additional services, such as an extra garbage pickup or special disposal for hazardous materials. In that case, it is best to contact the waste company directly to discuss options. Many waste companies are willing to accommodate special requests, but there may be additional fees associated with the extra services.
What are common types of waste facilities?
Common waste facilities include landfills, composting centers, and incineration plants. Landfills are the most common waste facility, where trash is buried and then covered with soil. Composting centers process organic materials, including food scraps, yard trimmings, and agricultural wastes, into a nutrient-rich fertilizer for the soil. Incineration plants burn solid waste such as paper, plastic, and other non-toxic materials, which can reduce the volume of trash by up to 90%. Depending on the location, some waste companies may also offer specialized services like hazardous material disposal or medical waste treatment.

Many waste companies also offer a special program for electronics or hazardous materials that must be disposed of safely. It is best to check with your local waste company for more information on what types of services are available.
What is the most sustainable way to manage my waste?
The most sustainable way to manage waste is by reducing, reusing, and recycling. Reduce the waste you produce by avoiding single-use items and investing in more durable goods. Reuse items whenever possible, such as donating unwanted clothing or furniture instead of throwing them away. Finally, recycle any items that cannot be reused, such as paper and plastic. Additionally, composting organic material can help reduce the amount of waste going to landfills.
