Overview

Sutter Metals is a locally owned and operated business which provides specialized recycling services throughout Washington state and its neighboring regions. Their operations collect and process both ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The Sutter Metals company opened its doors in 2009 as Lacey Auto Recycling and was solely a vendor of used auto parts. Since then, the Sutter Metals family has grown from the ground up through local support and thus has evolved its services to respond to the local demand for salvaging various used metal material. Chad Sutter is the owner and operator of the Sutter Metals company. His roots are grounded in Olympia soil as he was born and raised within the historical city. His passion for local service survives the commercial legacy of his father Ed Doench who was the long-time owner of Nisqually Auto Wrecking which sold used auto parts. Through his personal commitment to community service, Chad envisions a company that will continue to grow with the local community and provide a tailored service of satisfaction which supports a sustainable and profitable approach to recycling.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this the official Sutter Metals website?

This page is part of the Wastebits Locator, a directory of waste handlers and service providers. It is not the official website of Sutter Metals. Is there information that we can update to keep things accurate? Request an edit to this page.

What does a recycler do?

A recycler takes certain used materials and prepares them to be processed and used again. This can include common items like paper, cardboard, plastic, or metal, along with other materials depending on the recycler.

Why might one recycler take something another one will not?

Recycling services can vary based on equipment, local rules, processing outlets, and the condition of the material. That is one reason the same item may be accepted in one place but turned away somewhere else.
