Covanta operates the 12-acre facility in Jamesville, NY, which controls the waste flow in the county and greater Syracuse region. The facility processes 990 tons per day of municipal solid waste, generating up to 39.5 megawatts (MW) of renewable energy that is sold to National Grid. The facility is equipped with an air-cooled condenser used for condensing turbine exhaust.
