Bodine Services of the Midwest is a certified Illinois EPA Emergency Response Contractor and an Illinois EPA Corrective Action Contractor. In 1960, Richard D. Bodine founded Bodine Sewer, Inc., to install and service septic-based residential and commercial wastewater systems. That’s when the tradition of taking pride in the work and doing the job right the first time, was established. The Bodine name on it means quality service. As the 1960s became the 1970s, Bodine expanded into plant maintenance to serve the Decatur industrial community. The name became Bodine Services, Inc., to better describe the increased capabilities of the company. The increasingly complex regulatory climate of OSHA, EPA, and DOT required client services tailored to these needs. The Bodine family is still involved in day-to-day operations. Richard’s sons Jack and Michael founded Bodine Environmental Services, Inc., to meet these environmental needs. Bodine facilities are present in Springfield, IL, Peoria, IL, Clinton, IA, and Evansville, IN, in addition to the Decatur, IL headquarters.
