Maple Hill Landfill opened in 1976 and accepts MSW, C&D, asbestos and non-hazardous industrial wastes. Currently Maple Hill Landfill accepts approximately 450 tons per day but has no regulated daily maximum. Methane from the site is currently being flared and the leachate is trucked to an off-site wastewater treatment plant. Maple Hill Landfill is located in Macon County and enjoys a 65 year life expectancy. While they don’t pay a host fee, they do pay an environmental fee to the State of Missouri and economic development fee to Macon County.
This facility is permitted to accept waste from all counties in Missouri and surrounding states and accepts waste from Advanced Disposal subsidiaries and third party companies.
