Mr. Bagnasco’s expertise includes over 28 years of experience as a geologist working on environmental site assessment investigations, environmental due diligence / compliance issues, mergers and acquisitions, real estate transactions / property development, regulatory site closures / permitting, supporting litigation and enforcement action cases for both environmental and health/safety issues and root-cause analysis cases. He has worked on many types of projects, which include groundwater modeling, hydrogeological, asbestos, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), hazardous and radioactive waste disposal, dry cleaners and leaking underground petroleum storage tanks, demolition and facility decommissions, freight and rail yards, pond closures, pipelines and compressor stations (upstream), oil and gas railroad commission sites, port facilities, marine terminals, scrap metal recycling and environmental liability management on projects ranging from commercial retail sites, residential apartments, department of defense sites, large industrial processing, packaging, and chemical production refinery facilities. Mr. Bagnasco has directed due diligence investigations and/or remediation of properties which contain contaminated soil and groundwater at sites located both internationally and domestically on behalf of financial institutions, insurance companies, federal projects, private property owners, and industries throughout the United States, Mexico, and South America (Brazil). s an exploration geologist, Mr. Bagnasco performed oil exploration work both domestically on-shore (Mud-logging Geologist) in East Texas and performed seismic work off-shore in Gulf of Mexico and international off-shore waters of North Sea area (Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Aberdeen), Mediterranean Sea, West Africa (Canary Islands, Senegal, Mauritania, Guinea Bissau, Nigeria) and South America (Trinidad and Brazil). Michael received a B.S. in geology and computer science from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas, and completed coursework towards a master’s degree in hydrogeology at the University of Houston. He is registered with the State of Texas and Louisiana as a professional geoscientist in geology (P.G. License #5066 and #805) and is certified as a Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) leaking petroleum storage tank (LPST) corrective action project manager (CAPM).
